2018 Arkansas NCTA Study Tour Fellowship

The Arkansas NCTA (National Consortium for Teaching about Asia) supports Arkansas educators learning about Asia by traveling to Asia. Research shows that some of the richest teaching experiences are when we can tap our own lived experiences. We're therefore happy to announce the 2018 Arkansas NCTA study tour fellowship.

The fellowship recipient will receive $2,000 toward a trip to Asia to study culture and bring those experiences and knowledge back into their classrooms and school communities.

To apply for the fellowship, please send the following to Dr. Paul A Crutcher, Director of Arkansas NCTA, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

    1. A roughly 1,500 word essay that explains your interest in Asia and your plans for integrating your experiences into your class(es) and school community
    2. A tentative schedule and budget for your 2018 trip

Deadline for applications is May 31, 2018. The Arkansas NCTA study tour fellowship is open to any current Arkansas teacher, especially to those who have completed Arkansas NCTA summer professional development or other NCTA training. Please feel free to contact us for any additional information.
